MEET THE ARTIST
I am an American-based artist with an eclectic focus on creating expressionistic, abstract, and illustrative artworks in various mediums. Whether with a brush or a pen, each work is an exemplification of my influences, passions, and creative explorations. For me, creating is a deep-rooted need to express an idea, emotion, or concept through any chosen medium that best suits that work.
MY STUDIO
Come inside and see where I create my works of art.
THE SPACE
My studio sits at a central junction of my home. While small, the space contains my favorite things representing my various fandoms and passions. I can quickly move throughout the space with two painting stations, a desk, and a drafting area, focusing on different project phases and administrative duties within any given day.
While I may not keep the space tidy, the sense of organization helps keep me from feeling overwhelmed by chaos. Along with the soft yellow walls, teal accents, and both direct and indirect sunlight throughout the day, my studio is warm and cozy, allowing creativity to take center stage.
Working It.
There are days when I may spend up to ten hours in my studio, creating, tending to administrative duties, or even generating artist prints. My two favorite times of day are in the morning, when the sun directly illuminates the workspace, and in the late afternoon or early evening, when the reflected golden glow of sunset creates a relaxing, warm hue.
Mornings are best for mapping out my day and evaluating the previous day's work. Often, this is the time I do a practice sketch, write out ideas, or work on illustrations. It is peacefully quiet, allowing for productivity.
I reserve the afternoons for painting or work that requires standing and moving. This helps prevent sneaky afternoon fatigue and re-energizes my creative spirit.
Working in my studio is my sanctuary. It is a place of peace, exploration, and expression without judgment. I love my studio and being close to my family, who inspire me every day.
